Does this really sound like a shocking age difference? College is normally 16-19 (if you have an extra year) and uni is generally 18/19 Of course, there is adult education at college but I doubt OP meant she attends college and the guy attends adult education classes Lol no im scottish..
But i didnt know what I wanted to do with life so i tried a few different things that didnt work out so now I need to go to college to do another course which will allow me to go to university.
The problem is that the difference between a 17-year old and a 21-year old can be somewhat large. There was a 2-3 year gap between me and one of my ex's, but I'd known her for going on 3-4 years.
I felt weird discussing the age difference with friends (and usually avoided the subject entirely) but I knew personally that I had something great.
I thought it would be okay but the maturity difference was so big. As long as you're not taking advantage of a naive youngster, no harm no foul.
I heard he had liked me for ages we started hanging round a bit and I started to like him so I told him and he said he liked me too and we got together. College is normally 16-19 (if you have an extra year) and uni is generally 18/19 Of course, there is adult education at college but I doubt OP meant she attends college and the guy attends adult education classes Are you American?
Only problem is, while man is very mature, he's only 18. Wrong on many different levels and an absolute no go? Funnily enough we came across a lot of judgemental people like you OP too! I met my dp when he was 18 (although we didn't get together until he was 20) That was nearly 5 years ago and we are getting married in the summer. Everyone is different and sometimes people just fall for each other. To not know what to make of my DH saying this every morning...Met her on an online site, and she asked for my number because she enjoyed talking to me? FML, the one girl that enjoys me is too young)EDIT: I'm not so much worried about the legality (it's 16 where I am)... I wouldn't be so much worried about the legal thing. She may appear to be mature for her age, but the devil is in the details. It definitely won't seem like a lot in the long run. Make sure you know this girl well before you take any unnecessary steps. The rule's just an arbitrary justification for dating someone you know is too young for you.4 years isn't necessarily a large age difference. 30 and 26 would be fine, but the 4 years between 17 and 21 are a big 4 years.Plus you're (most likely) dating a high schooler.

Aged 27, woman meets the mans sister and they become close. I don't really understand what a woman of nearly 30 would see in a lad barely out of his teens. She is the same age as me and I cannot wrap my head around how she can be attracted to someone so much younger. I personally at 30 cannot ever see myself being interested in an 18 year old. I don't think I'd feel any differently if the sexes were reversed either, before anyone asks I will admit I feel a bit weird about my best friend's sister having met her bloke at 15/16, he was in his thirties.
