Javascript function for validating email address

In the above form, we are calling validate() to validate data when onsubmit event is occurring.

The following code shows the implementation of this validate() function.

This is a code snippet for basic Java Script to validate email address using a regular expression.

Last month I wrote about regular expressions in Java, today I’ll show you how to use regular expression in Java Script to validate email address.

Using regular expressions is probably the best way for email validation.

In this post we’ll talk about few common approaches for validating email addresses in Java Script.

First, when validating email addresses I believe it’s better to error on the permissive side.

You can change the regex and compare it with other ones you want to use.

The one that’s currently added is the one I consider the most accurate I found, slightly edited to fix an issue with multiple dots.
